What is Precious Metal Clay? Precious Metal Clay, often called PMC, consists of microscopic particles of silver suspended in an organic binder to create a pliable material with a consistency similar to modeling clay. When heated to a high temperature, the binder completely burns away and the silver particles fuse together to form solid metal (in this case, Sterling Silver).

These earrings were textured, shaped, dried, and sanded prior to firing in my kiln. After the pieces were fired they were burnished and tumbled for additional shine and strength. I have oxidized these earrings to bring out the great contrast in the design. The earrings in this listing are .960 Sterling Silver (Sterling Silver is .925 and Fine Silver is .999).

All pieces will be carefully packed in a cotton-lined gift box, and secured in a padded bubble envelope for shipping. Items will be shipped First Class, via United States Postal Service, as soon as possible after payment is received (typically same or next business day). Shipping costs for orders with multiple items will be consolidated and any over payment will be refunded.
